  This division provides facilities for the examination of a variety of firearms, cartridges,   explosives and reconstruction of scene of crime in the pertinent cases in order to help the   investigating agencies  
 
Comparison Microscope

 
  The examination of biological fluids, skeletal remnants, fabrics, hair, seeds, maggots, diatoms, vegetable fibers, wood etc. are undertaken by this division. Besides, it also helps out the investigating agencies in crime cases involving rapes and murders on the spot.  
Biology Lab

 
   The facilities for grouping of blood/semen/saliva in respect of A1, A2 (Sub   Groups), BO, Rh MN, Kell, Lewis, Duffy, Luthran, Kidd, P1, Penny, Sutter, Diego, Xg, Wright, Vel   and  Separation of isozymes/Serum Proteins: PGM, EsD, EAP, CA, Pep-A, PGP, PGI,   ADA, AK, GLO1, GPT, PGD, Go, Tf, Bf, C3, Hp etc. are available examination of about 40 serogenetic   characters are being carried out in this division. Efforts are being made to introduce DNA   typing in criminal and paternity dispute cases.  
 
DNA Lab

 
  This is the biggest division receiving the maximum number of crime cases in the laboratory. Facilities for carrying out the chemical analysis of viscera, drugs, poisons, alcohol, petroleum products, remnants of accelarants in arson cases, explosives etc. with the help of sophisticated equipments are available in this division of laboratory.
